Climate Change - political radicalisation of School Children in Ireland
Not Since the Days of the Hitler Youth Movement has the west seen such a mobilisation of school children as seen today with the School Strike for Climate Action .
Every time the children protest . Governments announce big increases in Carbon Taxes .
In effect , the children are protesting for their parents to pay more taxes
Behind the Movement
As with every Movement , there is always people at the top directing operations and pulling the strings . However very little is known about those directing operations in this movement called Fridays for Future (FFF) aka School Strike for Climate , I contacted the international branch asking for the names of those in charge here in Ireland , but they refused to give any names .
The organisation says it was born out of a swedish child named Greta Thunberg . Thunberg who described herself as having "Asperger syndrome" , "obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD)" and "selective mutism" insisted that her family give up eating meat and give up going on holidays by aeroplane in order to reduce their carbon footprint. In August 2018, Thunberg decided to skip school and protest outside the Swedish Parliament every day with a sign that read "Skolstrejk för klimatet" (school strike for the climate) , her demands were that the Swedish government reduce carbon emissions in accordance with the Paris Agreement . After the general elections, she continued to strike only on Fridays coining the phrase 'fridays for future' .
Some children hold placards blaming parents for climate change .
How many children taking part will :
- Ask Parents to drive them in a car everywhere which uses vasts amount of carbon dioxide
- will upload pictures and videos to social media which are stored in Data Centres powered by Coal Fires .
- will have a smartphone which according to a study by the McMaster University Ontario is the most damaging of all personal devices to the environment . link
The Blame Game
Whether you agree or disagree with issues around Climate , a parents primary role is to keep their child safe .
In Ireland , we have never in the history of our state seen an Anonymous Organisation take control of our school children like we are seeing today . Who are these people ? , What else to they stand for ? and why are our schools allowing it to take control are all matters that should concern all of us . In the 1930s in Germany , when parents stood back and allowed it to happen , the outcome wasn't so good for anyone .
The Question for parents is a simple one . Do you want your child to be politically radicalised at School or not? , this time its climate change , what issue will be next .
