Dublin Bus Driver Slams Dermot O'Leary over Letter

politics

Dermot O'Leary , the General Secretary of the National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) has come under fire from a Dublin Bus Driver for complaining about an election advert being run on the side of Dublin Buses .

The advert for election candidate Gemma O'Doherty of the Anti Corruption Ireland Party had been criticised by Union Boss O'Leary last week in a letter to Dublin Bus . In the letter O'Leary stated that Bus Drivers did not want to be associated with the views of O'Doherty which he described as "the politics of hate" in reference to Miss O'Dohertys outspoken views on immigration and a range of other issues and warned Dublin Bus that Drivers may refuse to drive buses displaying such adverts .

However , A Dublin Bus Driver has now come forward to say that None of the Drivers have refused to Drive Such Buses advertising O'Doherty or any other Candidate and has criticised the Union Chief for pursuing his own personal political agenda .

In a public broadcast on Youtube , Dublin Bus Driver Máirtín Ó Baoighealláin rebutted claims that Dermot O'leary represents the vast majority of NBRU members .. "he doesn't , not everybody holds his views" explains Mr Ó Baoighealláin

Dermot O'leary claims to represent the vast majority of his members which he doesn't , not everybody holds his views .

A lady with an opposing view as to how the country should be run has taken out advertisements .

Nobody has refused to drive a dublin bus with any advertising on it .

Dublin Bus Drivers are professional Drivers . They turn up . They check the bus make sure its mechanically sound , fit for purpose , they dont even look at the advertising , they get in the bus and go do their days work and hope they get a days work done safely . As an NBRU member I dont pay my subs and neither do the vast majority of NBRU members to have the General Secretary pursue his personal political interests . Most members I speak to would rather Dermot O'Leary did not get involved in this , there is a whole lot more to be getting on with given that Dublin Bus is on the cusp of being privatised which would be an absolute race to the bottom .

Gemma O'Doherty is well able to fight her corner , I'm not here to represent Gemma O'Doherty , I'm here to represent myself and plenty of other members who probably feel the same that our subs could be much better used and your time could be much better spent .

To pursue the national interest . To want to preserve your culture , your people your land , there is nothing questionable about that and just because you love your nation and your family and your friends and your culture, it doesn't automtically mean that you hate everyone else .

This is a Trojan Horse being pushed out there by Dermot O'Leary , its absolutely contemptible and I just want to get that message accross today . Its about time the unions in this country start representing Irish people because they seem to be hell bent on representing everything else but the Irish people

what Dermot O'leary needs to do is to work harder so that dublin bus drivers aren't being asssaulted  , aren't being victims of verbal abuse , victims of anti social behaviour , thats what we pay our subs for not for your political personal agenda . Not for you and george soros pet project which is ENAR and all the other non governmental organisations that is hell bent on making irish people a minority in their own country . God save Ireland .
