GPs intensify pressure on ICGP to secure freedom of conscience protections
Hundreds of GPs have signed a new petition seeking an extraordinary general meeting of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP), to debate and vote on securing proper freedom of conscience protections for doctors from having to be involved in facilitating abortions. A recent Amárach poll showed that 80% of the public support proper freedom of conscience protections for those working in the health services from having to be involved in abortions.
