 Precious Life

Precious Life is the largest pro-life group in Northern Ireland . Since our formation, there has been a dramatic drop in the numbers of women travelling from Northern Ireland to England for abortion. We believe this is directly attributable to our activism. By exposing the lies surrounding abortion; by educating the public with the truth about abortion; and by campaigning against abortion - we are saving babies, mothers, and indeed this country, from the silent holocaust that is brutally destroying 50 million lives worldwide every year

Beware of any politician or organisation claiming to be opposed to the culture of foeticide while making statements like "we have a nuanced approach". These people speak with forked tongues. There are numerous players across the political spectrum who claim to be both "prolife and prochoice", a dishonest and impossible stance to have. The argument that "one in ten Irish mothers have had an abortion" is not a reason to dial down opposition to the culture of foeticide. In decades of campaigning I have personally encountered at least one in ten fellow campaigners who have had an abortion. It is that very experience which makes these women adamant that the culture of death is detrimental to our society and harmful to the health and wellbeing of Irish women. The "one in ten" statistic is NEVER an argument for acceptance of foeticide. It is an argument against it.

I hope Ireland will one day repeal the 36th Amendment . Many of our children and grandchildren would not be here today if it were not for the 8th amendment . Future generations will now miss out on so much joy because of abortion . The 36th amendment must be repealed .

if you build it they will come . in the corners of society , we must rebuild , start over and become a stronger movement . We must widen the student base and work away in the margins of society educating people and who knows , maybe one day the tide will turn .
