English Open: Ronnie O'Sullivan beats China's Yuan Sijun in Crawley

Five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan edged past 19-year-old Chinese player Yuan Sijun in the second round of the English Open in Crawley.Yuan, ranked 48th in the world, held a 3-1 lead before breaks of 81 and 84 from O'Sullivan levelled the match.The world number two then made a break of 87 to move into the third round.It is the second time this tournament O'Sullivan has needed a deciding frame after he beat Jamie O'Neill 4-3 in round one at the K2 leisure centre.The 43-year-old has repeatedly been critical of the West Sussex venue, describing it as "a hellhole" last year.He was again unhappy after his win over O'Neill as he said that "every day in Crawley is a day lost in my life".O'Sullivan will face either Iran's Hossein Vafaei, the world number 31, or China's Chen Feilong, who is ranked 89th, in the third round.More to follow.Find out how to get into snooker, pool and billiards with our fully inclusive guide.Sign up to My Sport to follow snooker news on the BBC app.

Ireland's 40th Direct Provision Centre for asylum seekers is expected to open in Ballinamore.Co Letrim in the coming weeks . The centre will consist of 20 three and four bedroom apartments . Local Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny has welcomed the news : "This is an old development that was done about 10 years ago , It was unfinished apartments and now they have been finished . I know we've had asylum seekers in the town before a number of years ago.They were in an old hotel there. It was a very positive experience for everyone involved" The news comes amid a surge in asylum seekers coming to Ireland seeking accommodation. Figures from the department of Justice show a 36% increase in Asylum Applications this year . A t the end of August there were 3,094 asylum applications lodged in Ireland . The figures show the top 5 Countries of Origin for asylum seekers entering Ireland this year are : Albania , Georgia , Zimbabwe , Nigeria and South Africa . Figures also show that there are 7,018 asylum seekers being accommodated around Ireland at the end of June ,- 6,082 asylum
