Local Government Lockdown is curtailing peoples Democratic rights

Local Government Lockdown is curtailing peoples Democratic rights

Letter to Editor 29th September 2020 Today , for the first time in my Life , the Gardai were called on me . My Crime ? It was something terrible . I wanted to lodge a planning objection with my Local Planning Authority as is my Democratic and legal right under the Planning and Development regulations [part 4 article 18.1(e)] and Planning and Development Acts. Meanwhile Shopping Centres , Supermarkets and everywhere else is open for business. Anyway ,

Cork County Council rejects exclusion zone motion

A motion put forward by Social Democrats Councillor June Murphy has been turned down by Chief Executive Tim Lucey.

The proposed bye-laws would have banned, among other things, the distribution of materials such as leaflets from “unregulated” organisations .

Cllr. Murphy argued that the Council needed to take action in the absence of national legislation on exclusion zones.

However, Lucey reiterated that such a decision was beyond the scope of a local council and should be left to the Oireachtas to make, dismissing any further discussion on the matter.

freedom of assembly and expression is also a fundamental human right in any modern democracy , any attempts to stop people from engaging in this practice in any form is violation of their human rights

We have our own bills to pay , our own mortgages , why are we paying for houses for the whole world , anyone who wants to come here we have to pay for them , its disgraceful

There's definitely a racial agenda to this , in the first 3 years of the 1990s less than 100 people a year claimed asylum in Ireland . On 1 Novemeber 1993 , The Treaty on European Union came into force . Two years later , thousands of asylum seekers started to arrive in Ireland from Nigeria . This had to be ORGANISED . Somebody was organising these people to come to Ireland . AND WHY ? thats the big question . It all goes back to the vision of a man name Richard Kalergi , a foun
