Ireland 2040 plan - Rural Towns to double in population size by 2040

Ireland 2040 plan - Rural Towns to double in population size by 2040
The national framework plan 2040 , commonly referred to as the Ireland 2040 plan is a government plan to double the population of Irish Towns and Cities . The plan estimates an increase of 1 million people in population growth by 2040 . Half of this number will come through Immigration .

Commenting on the plan , Tanaiste Simon Coveney said :

over the next twenty to thirty years , Effectively we want to attempt to double the size of all of the cities in population terms outside of Dublin . The population of Ireland will certainly grow by an extra million people . Linked to that estimate is that half of that number wont have been born in Ireland . I think that will be a really good thing for Irish Society but we have to manage it carefully so that we dont allow the politics of migration to play a big part in Irish Politics.  - Tanaiste Simon Coveney

In terms of overall population growth, half a million people will be added to Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford with the other half million going to rural towns and villages around Ireland.

When the plan was first launched , it was met with controversey after it emerged a deal had been struck between the government and national newspapers who would spin the plan in a positive light .  Journalists were urged to write positive pieces about the plan which .. “could not include negative or critical content” .

Ireland 2040 has been heavily criticised on social media as a “pyramid scheme” to enrich investors by adding consumers at taxpayers’ expense, and as a globalist programme to “replace” the native population.

Thank You Charlie, another excellent article!

There is NO DOUBT that this is less about immigration or the propping up of rural communities. But, instead it is ALL about money!, in THE most basis terms it's about protecting the housing bubble!. The reason why homes are not being built in Ireland is also to protect the housing bubble and avoid another collapse. The banks are putting pressure on government to protect their bottom line and despite the fact that the construction industry is on it's knees, this trend will continue.

Every student in this country who even paid the slightest attention to their economics class lectures, could tell you that this country is walking a very narrow line between profit and another recession & the markets are extremely nervous!. Now of course the UK leaving the EU is adding to this nervousness along with the FACT that the those in charge of the EU, will have to find a pot of gold to replace funding lost by the UK leaving.

Moving immigrants and others to rural areas in the numbers proposed (1 Million) WILL NOT be a solution to the poor management of this country. In fact it will cause a bottleneck and will pile on even more pressure on already suffering public services, such as Hospitals, Doctors & Clinics, Mental Health services, and so on.

However, IT WILL succeed in making Landlords richer, by keeping already stupidly high rents at completely unrealistic and for most people in Ireland out side of their financial means!. It WILL keep house prices ever stronger, and the next generation of Irish men and women will like their elder siblings, find owning a home is beyond even their dreams.

ARE WE JUST TOO SCARED TO FACE THE TRUTH ? I thought it appropriate to reply to this article Justme and Charlie. Although this 2040 Plan is in place and rolling it seems that it has been accepted by all and THE IRISH ARE
COMPLYING. A well known Stefan Molyneux,of Irish roots known globally has released a video post " A terrible time for
Ireland 2040". Considering this is 2020,he relates to figures
and data around the last Census in Ireland, and over the last
2 decades. Thus building up THE PICTURE of before and
after. When we add this to TODAY 2020 it becomes clearly
evident that TIME IS AGAINST US NOW.The problems in
OUR ISLAND-IRELAND TODAY,with 20% of NON IRISH is
a molehill that is rapidly becoming A MOUNTAIN. My own
personal judgement is WE HAVE LESS THAN A DECADE to
save IRISH-IRELANDS-CULTURE AND HERITAGE. This is
all based on the facts presented which shared both your
opinions. ITS THE WAKE-UP CALL THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO IGNORE. It's time to respond,to act,to push back.

Freedom of Expression in Ireland under threat from growing number of NGOs

Freedom of Expression in Ireland under threat from growing number of NGOs

There is a big push now in Ireland to silence dissenting views especially if those views are in any way conservative and dont align with globalist goals . Non governmental organisations (NGOs) with funding from the EU commission and various government departments are creating an Iron Curtain to control public

I'd appeal to traditional republicans and socialists to examine carefully what these NGOs represent and the Ireland they want before signing up . I'd appeal to all decent people to really think carefully before allowing yourself to be used as a vessel for these movements. They talk about "Hate and Division" but are they not the driving force behind this hate and division because they divide society based on social groups . everyone is divided into groups based on their soc
