Varadkar - 'Migrants more likely to work and pay tax than irish

Charlie
politics
Leo Varadkar speaking to the Dail during leaders questions says that Migrants are 'more likely to be working , more likely to be paying tax than the average Irish Person' .

One in six people were not born in Ireland , relative to other countries thats a very high level , its higher than Britain , Germany , France and the Netherlands . Migrants are so well integrated into our labour market .. In fact more likely to be working than the average Irish Person and more likely to be paying Tax than the average Irish Person .. and I was at a very good project the other day as to how we can encourage migrants who are not part of the labour market to become involved in it . We have actually done quite well relative to other countries when you consider one in six people are not born here and us becoming a  net inward migration quite suddenly , to suddenly become a country with very significant inward migration

- Leo Varadkar , Dail Questions , October 2nd

Is there anyone this man varadkar has not insulted yet . The amount of anti irish bigotry emanating from Dail Eireann is very disturbing
^
supposing this was true , its not something to brag about , i mean are we being priced out of the labour market , is there discrimination against us in the labour market , why is this happening . all very serious questions but no , he sees it as a good thing .
^
good old anti irish racism by An Taoiseach . The undercurrent here is that Irish people are lazy . Imagine If his statement was reversed and he said Irish people were more likely to work and pay tax than Immigrants , you can be 100% sure that there would be an outcry from all the Migrant NGOs and he would made to apologise . But once the racism is directed against Irish People its perfectly acceptable . sickening .

Hi Charlie, great piece!.

We were as usual almost on the same train of thought with our Articles. That being Mr. Varadkar's distain, IF NOT outright hatred for the people of this country!..

On writing the article I did, I Was actually shocked by the amount of blatantly Vile comments Mr. Varadkar has made about the people of this country.

Anyway, I will go and try to calm down, just wanted to say great job!.

LIEO LIKES THE SOUND OF HIS OWN VOICE,SQUEAK.
ratch it up, THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF TOO OFTEN.
Fact- half caste people, neither black or white suffer from
identity syndrome, thus hating the world and their own lives
because they feel they NEVER FIT IN and blame others for
a non existent problem.SOLUTION LIEO,GO TO INDIA.
There should be a LAW INTRODUCED,that anybody using
the word racist against a person MUST SHOW PROOF,
it would be POLITICALLY CORRECT FOR LIBERALS and
put the ONUS ON THE MOUTH.A jail term for false utterance is needed.I live in a multicultural society that has
evolved over 200 yrs,TRIBALISM, Ireland in only 20 yrs. I'm
not racist,I do not acknowledge the word, but if I had to put
up with YER MANS CONSTANT DRIBBLE, GO TO INDIA !
^
there seems to be a lot of Anti Irish Racism emanating from Fine Gael . Irish people work hard and pay tax , whats his problem ?
^
its true , if he said this about any other ethnic group he'd be castigated but so long as its just the irish , nothing like a bit of good old anti irish bigotry from your taoiseach .
^
There is no doubt now , Varadkar is clearly anti irish , the media kick up a fuss about Peter Casey , but golden boy Varadkar can get away with anything he likes because he supports the takeover of Ireland .
^
Meanwhile , Irish Nurses and teachers etc are being forced to emigrate to get a decent wage that will afford them to buy a house and maybe start a family and simply live their lives which they cant do anymore in their own country and Mr Varadkar seems to be happy about this and takes pleasure in it .

i guess this is the governments way of punishing Galway for Oughterard .They are putting their foot down and saying to galway that resistance is futile , we dont care what you think , we'll put direct provision centres anywhere and everywhere we like and nobody can stop us . thats basically the message thats coming out of this move.

Nigeria is a Safe country with 6 million Tourists a year , why is the government spending all our taxes on asylum seekers , most of these people are only pretending to be refugees . We have our own bills to pay , our own mortgages , why are we paying for houses for the whole world , anyone who wants to come here we have to pay for them , its disgraceful

There's definitely a racial agenda to this , in the first 3 years of the 1990s less than 100 people a year claimed asylum in Ireland . On 1 Novemeber 1993 , The Treaty on European Union came into force . Two years later , thousands of asylum seekers started to arrive in Ireland from Nigeria . This had to be ORGANISED . Somebody was organising these people to come to Ireland . AND WHY ? thats the big question . It all goes back to the vision of a man name Richard Kalergi , a foun

why cant they do this for homeless people ?. Most asylum seekers coming to ireland are coming from Safe countries like albania , georgia , south africa , nigeria . others on here have said its a disgrace that our own homeless people are being killed on the streets and nobody cares . ah sure their only white irish , the dirt on your shoe , who cares , this seems to be the attitude of government . its shocking .

if people have the money , they should book a room for a homeless person even for a couple of nights . any one of us could be that person , sitting all alone on the street worrying where the next meal will come from or where your life is going
