Dublin : new Gang Music trend could spark London type violence here

Dublin : new Gang Music trend could spark London type violence here
Bawnogue Dublin . Sello ire . New Gang Music worrying trend for Ireland
A worrying trend is emerging in Ireland and that is Drill music .

Drill Music is a violent gang related form of music with violent tones and aggressive language often talking about knifing people and other violent acts . It originated from the Chicago gang scene around 2010 and spread to London a few years later .

In recent years it has become popular in Ireland among African youths growing up here with Groups such as Chuks & J.B2 having already established the scene in Dublin .

In 2018 , the head of the Met Police in London Cressida Dick blamed drill music videos for fuelling a surge in violence and murders in London stating that the music is about - "glamorising serious violence: murder, stabbings" . One example of this was in 2018, when 17-year-old rapper Junior Simpson who had written lyrics about knife attacks was convicted of murder for his part in a four person group that stabbed a 15-year-old boy to death  . In London , Figures from the Metropolitan Police show that knife crime in London increased from 9,700 offences in 2014/15 to 15,600 offences in 2019/20 .

Below : Bawnogue in Clondalkin Co Dublina group named "Sello_ire"  (twitter @Sello_ire) use the lyrics in their song to talk about gang culture in Bawnogue ....  "what you know about gangin , you couldn't last 5 minutes in bawnogue" .."you get robbed by your next door neighbour and the next day they ask you for a favour" , explains the lead singer who at one point is holding a hurley stick pointing it like a gun at one stage , others in the group are wearing gang masks and hoodies with other youths shown riding on scrambler bikes which is a problem for locals  . The lyrics go on to talk about people being beaten up and sliced in the face with knives among other violent references .

Keeping our Children safe on the streets of Ireland should be every parents no.1 priority , as a nation we need to sit down and discuss these issues in a mature manner . In some parts of Dublin we've already seen a surge in gang related activity within the african community . Importing London type Violence to Ireland is a parents worst nightmare and must be avoided at all costs .

so sad whats happening to ireland . worse still is NO politicians will speak out on these kinds of issues . cant understand it . i really cant .
^
disgusting . no place in ireland for this kind of thing . clondalkin used to be a lovely place . feel sorry for people suffering from gangs in their area . its a horrible thing .
^
the vast majority of people in bawnogue are decent people who would never rob their neighbour . They are hard working people and they dont want this kind of thing , its not welcome in bawnogue or any other working class area .

unfortunately , they like the rest of Ireland have been let down by "ALL" of the established political parties who are constantly pushing for open borders and no restrictions on migration into Ireland under the heading of diversity and anti racism . Sadly this is the end result

its bye bye Ireland , hello globalism

^
this makes me cringe . give me back the old ireland any day .
^
time for TDs to speak out . the issue of gang culture needs to be addressed . London is a mess . now coming to every town in Ireland with Ireland 2040 plan to increase population of rural ireland by half million through migration over next 20 yrs.
^
our country is being spat on , ripped apart by greedy NGOs but people are slowly waking up . its a slow process but more and more every day see whats going in behind the iron curtain

I recently saw a left-wing group (@IrlagainstFash) actually celebrating getting people fired from their jobs because of the person's political beliefs while at the same time banging on about 'workers rights' and 'the working class' and 'wo
