On Saturday Morning , I went into O'Connell Street early before the troubles started .
As I walked down North Earl Street I got talking to two muslim leaders from Galway , they were running a stall with books about Islam engaging with passers by .
I asked them what they thought about Pegida who planned to hold a rally at the GPO that afternoon.
Both Men actually acknowledged that to a certain extent they can understand some of the concerns Pegida have .
The men explained to me that they have come accross people in Ireland who they believe could quite possibly be members of radical Islamic groups .
When I asked them if they would go to the Gardai with their suspicions , they said no , they would be too afraid to tell the Gardai .
They told me , it is up to the Government to keep watch on these people and also added that the government needs to be monitoring what is being preached within mosques around Ireland .
These two men were remarkably honest with me and I found them very nice people to talk to . I have no reason to doubt anything they said .
They also acknowledged that it takes courage to stand up to radical islam , to a certain degree they had some respect for Pegida
They told me that back in Pakistan , in the same way christians are attacked , their branch of Islam is also a regular target for extremists .
I asked him , if he could see this kind of sectarianism developing in Ireland given that different sects of Islam are establishing here , and he told me it could very well happen .
That Afternoon , up to a 1000 people associated with left wing groups gathered on O'Connell Street to counter demonstrate against the Pegida rally due to take place at 3pm .
The Counter Demonstration was organised by ENAR Ireland ( The European Network against Racism in Ireland ) . ENAR is a Brussels based organisation funded by the EU Commission and George Soros (open society foundations).
ENAR have published a list naming all the groups that took part in saturday's event .

Not one muslim organisation is listed which means that even muslims themselves have either a certain dislike of the left wing or a degree of understanding towards Pegida . The list also refuses to mention that Eirigi and AFA (anti fascist action ) were also in attendance .
As we know now , the counter demonstration turned violent , with the Gardai having to use batons on a number of left wing supporters in order to protect supporters of Pegida , who were very small in numbers and who came under savage attack while trying exercise their constitutional right to protest peacefully.
In one incident , a group of Pegida supporters came under attack while travelling on the Luas , politician Peter O'Loughlin , the leader of Identity Ireland was hit over the head and had to be taken to hospital where he received a number of stitches .
In a specific attack our Chairman was hospitalised after being struck on the head by a blunt object while on the luas with 5 other colleagues. Further injury was prevented by two brave members who successfully stood up against and drove back 20 odd black and tan thugs who had no issue with starting a melee in a carriage with elderly women, children and a baby .
- Identity Ireland Statement
A number of Polish People who had gathered to show solidarity with Pegida and also protest against Communism were also attacked and had to be protected by gardai with batons and alsatians .
One group involved in the protest was "waterford against racism" , they took to facebook to celebrate their victory against pegida .
While I dont support Pegida , we have heard it from Muslims themselves that there is a problem in Ireland in relation to Islamic extremism , why would anybody ignore this problem or try to shut down debate about it , yet , this is what the Left is doing .
What do you think , why are left wing groups so frightened of debate , does the thought of danger upset them so much they pretend it is not happening .
I personally can not understand Left Wing Ideology , they are not doing their children or communities who want to live in a peaceful world any favours by allowing a problem to GROW , and it will grow , if you ignore a problem it gets worse , you must tackle a problem head on when it arises , this is what I think anyway , I'd like to hear other peoples views on this .
