Prominent Fianna Fail member quits calling party a 'Dictatorship'
Now a prominent Fianna Fail activist in Cavan Kristopher Shekleton has announced he is quitting Fianna Fail describing the party as 'a dictatorship' adding that the party is 'going backwards' .
In a radio interview with Northern Sound , Mr Shekleton said :
The Fianna Fail party under the current leadership of Michael Martin and his advisors and those in HQ has become a dictatorship , the party has become stagnant , its going nowhwere , there is no way the party is moving forward , in fact it could be moving backwards
Mr Shekleton has been very critical of Michael Martin's stance on abortion and during the referendum campaign to repeal the 8th amendment had stated that Martin had "given the proverbial two fingers to me by saying he will personally vote to repeal" .
