Sheriff Street - 702 unit Build to Rent Apartment scheme gets green light

Sheriff Street - 702 unit Build to Rent Apartment scheme gets green light
Proposed development at Castleforbes , Sheriff Street upper , Dublin 1
An 18 Storey apartment development with a peak height of 60.7 metres has been given the go ahead by An Bord Pleanala for a site near Sheriff Street Upper in Dublin 1

The development will be situated on the Castleforbes Business Park which is to be demolished as part of the development and will consist of 9 blocks of apartments ranging in height from 1 to 18 storeys containing 702 Build to Rent apartments and a number of retail units .

The scheme will consist of 407 one bedroom units , 179 two bedroom units , 15 three bedroom units and 101 studio units .

The planning application was lodged with An Bord Pleanala back in December by Glenveagh Living Limited (directors Stephen Garvey, Michael Rice and John Mulcahy) as a strategic housing development .

A total of 11 objections were lodged with An Bord Pleanala by local councillors and groups . Among the issues raised were the Build-to-Rent nature of the development with no allowance for home ownership , over extent of one bedroom units - no use for families , height - material contravention of City Development Plan , negative impact on landscape and residential amenity , out of character with traditional dwellings in the area and setting of precedent for other similar type developments .

Rewarding illegal migration will put people on the dole and increase social housing lists

The governments plan to grant an amnesty to "thousands" of illegal migrants is deeply flawed and will put huge pressure on social services . The first thing that happens when you make an illegal migrant legal is that their current employer will let them go . This is because

keep politics out of sport . leitrim hurlers think long hard about this. This is NOT about racism , its about political organisations using the GAA to further a political agenda . this is about manufacturing and promoting the idea that we have a racism problem in Ireland even though there is no research to support that claim and in doing so shutting down any possible debate around peoples genuine concerns around immigration matters in Ireland . please dont allow yourself to be used by the

good to see the defence forces behaving responsibly. its important that we dont allow this bullying and name calling of people for having different views. there is an agressive movement within academic circles to alienate ordinary people by labelling them as far right or fascist for simply holding a different point of view to them
