Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane - Children as young as 6 should be able to Change Gender

Speaking in the Seanad back in 2015 during a debate on the Gender Recognition Act , Waterford Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane who was then a senator says that children under the age 16 (and makes reference to a 6 year old) should be allowed to change their Gender from boy to girl and gilrl to boy and have it recognised under the Gender Recognition Act .
  
Here we have a bill that is about gender recognition that explicitly excludes children and I think that the account given by senator van turnhout of that 6 year old boy brought us right into the heart of that young child and other young children that would be put in a very very similar position that they are not going to have their gender recognised .

I cannot see for the life of me how anybody could stand over Not including children under 16

In 2021 , Sweden's National TV Broadcaster (SVT) released a series of groundbreaking documentaries which revealed how children undergoing gender change treatment such as puberty blocker medication had suffered catastrophic injuries as a result including liver damage, weight gains of up to two stone, skeletal damage such as spinal fractures and mental health problems , with one of Sweden’s leading paediatricians, Ricard Nergardh saying that the drugs "chemically castrate" children .

One programme tells the story of Keira Bell , who at the age of ten decided that she was really a boy , and began taking puberty blockers to stop her body developing into womanhood . The medication led to a condition called osteopenia,  a disease which weakens the bones, making them more liable to break., usually associated with people aged 60 or 70 and almost impossible to reverse . Keira later de-transitioned back into a girl but said she was now infertile as a result of taking puberty blocker medication. The documentary also showed how other girls as young as 14 were having double mastectomies in their quest to live as boys.

I dont agree with Cullinane on this , the evidence is overwhelming that children are physically and mentally damaged by gender change medication and surgery.

Why would anyone allow a child to cut off their breasts , when you think of cancer victims who had no choice but for a child with their whole life ahead of them and for parents to go along with it . its so wrong

when I was a child I thought I was superman and could fly , Did my parents let me Jump of the roof of the house to my death . No of course not , so why would parents allow their child to destroy their bodies and their futures
