Ironborn Real Estate Limited have sought permission for a 445 Build-to-Rent apartment development in Aikens Village, Stepaside, Dublin 18.

The development will consist of 445 apartment units (158 single bed units and 287 two bed units) arranged in 9 blocks ranging in height from 2 to 8 storeys tall on the 3.3 Hectare site at Stepaside in Dublin 18.

The county clare based company lodged the application with An Bord Pleanala on Monday (29th March) as a strategic housing development application . 

under section 3 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2016 , Strategic housing development (SHD) is development of 100 or more units on lands zoned for residential use . Applications can be made direct to An Bord Pleanala under Section 4(1) of the Act. 

An Bord Pleanala is due to decide on the case by 19th July . 

Members of the public can make submissions on the proposal directly to An Bord Pleanala .

The Closing date for public submissions is the 4th May .  

  
Public submissions may be made in writing to An Bord Pleanala through their online portal or by post .  The fee for a submission is 20 euro .
