But I can't help feeling for the officers attending for such a complaint.
Knowing what they (Police) have to go through to make a career in the force, they or the majority (at least) must feel so dispondant and under appreciated as officers.
Most would have joined with the genuine desire to help genuine victims of genuine crimes, such as: muggings, rape, theft, B&E, Domestic abuse, or traffic crimes such as: unlawful theft of a vehicle, insurance fraud, no insurance and so on.
But to have gone through basic training, training with an officer and eventually getting assigned to a station, possibly miles from family & friends, Only then to be sent out on hearsay accusation such as harsh words of exchange must be destroying for any officer, unless say for example threats were made or some form of harassment is found to have taken place.
Times are a changing for sure, and it seems not for the better!.
if this law comes here , certain people will be on the blower all day to gardai . surely the gardai are busy enough without policing peoples thoughts and opinions.
