Why is everyone who disagrees with government called "Far right"

Why is everyone who disagrees with government called "Far right"

In the news again today , we hear this idea yet again of "far right extremist groups" organising Anti Lockdown Protests on Social Media and handing out 'far right literature' . Over the past 20 years , almost every public protest in Ireland was organised by groups on social media . If we take the anti water meter protests for example , these were all organised by groups on social media , ranging in political persuasion from left wing - far left and I supported their cause at the time even though I would be more centred myself . Many of these anti water meter protests

Getting a haircut is not essential but getting a coffee is ??

With hairdressers and Barbers set to be closed until May at the earliest, what are we supposed to do with our hair ? . Every Day , I watch people coming out of the local coffee shop with their coffee and cakes or whatever and this is deemed Essential but getting your hair cut is not essential ? If you could see my hair as I write this , I'm sure you'd agree its a health risk to everyone and getting it cut is most essential to the health of the nation . It just makes no sense , people can crowd into busy supermarkets and

Irish Reunification under EU rule ?

Irish Reunification under EU rule ?

I was quite taken aback recently by a discussion by members of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on the Good Friday agreement . They were discussing a report entitled - "the EU and Irish unity - planning and preparing for constitutional change in Ireland" The report was commissioned by the European Left / Nordic Green Left (a political group in the European Parliament) and was researched by Mark bassett , a lecturer in EU law at Queens University and Colin Harvey , professor of European Human rights law , board member of 'irelands future' and member of the Gender Identity Panel (Northern Ireland) and Equality and Diversity Forum Research Network.school of law queens

Ireland needs "responsible" borders approach for healthy society to flourish

So what would responsible borders look like ? At its most basic level responsible borders means ensuring people enter the Country 'through the proper channels' . What are the proper channels . For people outside the EU , that means applying for a work visa . The person is able to show they have a Job lined up that cant be filled by a domestic worker , will be able to support themselves financially and wont increase the burden on social services . The same approach would be good for people inside the EU also - is it unreasonable to ask someone to show they can

Fact check - The EU is NOT 'Europe' , Europe is a Continent

The EU or European Union is a political union of countries located on the Continent of Europe . It is NOT Europe . Europe is a 'Continent' . A giant land mass which scientists say formed some 200 million years ago when the supercontinent of Pangaea split into pieces . On the other hand , the EU was formed just 27 years ago , the 1st November 1993 to be precise when the Treaty on European Union also called Maastricht treaty came into force . Quote from treaty - "we the high contracting parties hereby establish among ourselves a european union" - Title 1 , Article A .

Covid-19 : Nigerian-UK variant found in Ireland may render vaccines ineffective

A new strain of the Covid-19 virus has been found in Ireland that may render vaccines ineffective . The variant called the 'B1525' first originated in the UK and Nigeria in December and is thought to be linked to travel between the two . The new strain contains the E484K mutation similar to that of the Brazilian , South African and UK variant which studies have shown enables the virus to escape natural and vaccine triggered immunity . A further four cases of the South African variant B1351 have also been found here . Studies have shown that some vaccines have been less effective against the south african strain such
