Dublin were always in control against Longford at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. With James McCarthy effective Dublin led by 0-8 to 0-1 at the interval with Ciarn Archer landing some neat scores for Dessie Farrells team. Longford goalkeeper Paddy Collum made a string of fine saves to thwart Dublin, who were in the ascendancy. Ciarn Kilkenny finished the contest with four points from play as Dublin eased to victory.
Niall McNamee and Ruairi McNamee were in splendid form as Offaly overcame Louth, 0-15 to 2-6 in Ardee. Ryan Burns netted two goals for Mickey Hartes Louth, but Offaly did enough to secure the win.
Meath beat Wexford 1-15 to 1-10 with Jordan Morris first half goal an important score. Morris goal ensured that Meath led by 1-3 to 0-5 against a hard working Wexford outfit. At the three quarter mark Meath were 1-10 to 0-9, but a Ben Brosnan goal brought Wexford back into contention. In the closing minutes Cathal Hickey, Donal Keogan, and James Conlon scored points for the Royals.
Late goals from substitutes Sen Moore and Evan OCarroll guided Laois to a 2-14 to 1-11 success against Wicklow at Crettyard. Billy Sheehans outfit finished strongly clipping 2-2 without reply in the closing stages. Wicklow contributed handsomely to a lively match with Rory Stokes grabbing a first half goal. Ross Munnelly, though, was prominent for Laois, who went in 0-11 to 1-7 ahead at the break. After the restart it remained a good game, but goals from Moore and OCarroll earned Laois victory.
