Dublin 3-29 Galway 0-19

Offaly 3-18 Antrim 0-21

Kilkenny 1-27 Laois 0-24

A Donal Burke inspired Dublin proved far too strong for a youthful Galway outfit at Parnell Park. The prolific Burke scored 0-18 as Dublin cruised to a convincing 3-29 to 0-19 success over Henry Shefflins team at the Donnycarney venue.

Goals from Rian McBride, Chris Crummey, and substitute Paul Crummey ensured it was a demoralising afternoon in the capital for Galway. Mattie Kennys Dublin settled quickly to accumulate a healthy 1-16 to 0-8 interval advantage. Galway introduced the Mannion brothers, Padraic and Cathal, but Dublin continued to dominate the game.

Emmet Landys first half goal proved to be a crucial score as Kilkenny edged out Laois 1-27 to 0-24. Landy contributed handsomely in Callan for Brian Codys experimental side scoring 1-2. With Ross King prominent for Laois, the visitors moved 0-13 to 1-9 in front at the interval. Kilkenny subs Robbie Buckley and Thomas Donnelly were influential for Kilkenny, who face Wexford next Saturday.

Offaly pounced to score three goals during a hard earned 3-18 to 0-21 success over a spirited Antrim. Luke Nolan grabbed an early major for Offaly and added a second in the first half. Eimhin Kelly added a third goal for Offaly, who went in protecting a commanding 3-12 to 0-10 interval advantage. Neil McManus rifled over six second half points for Antrim, who narrowed the gap, but Offaly held on.
