The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has upheld a complaint against Today FM's The last Word with Matt Cooper show in relation to a remark describing British Author JK Rowling as a "transphobic bigot" . The complaint related to a broadcast last september in which panel members were discussing tweets made by Jedward alleging JK rowling was transphobic . In the course of the discussion , one of the panel members stated that JK Rowling had become a “transphobic bigot” The complainant claimed that this statement was not challenged by the presenter or any of the other panellists , it was a very serious accusation

Conversion therapy is a form of therapy available to same sex attracted people who want to be heterosexual and to transgender people who want to be cisgender. The therapy usually involves participants undergoing counselling and talk sessions with the intent of changing their thinking . Four countries in the world ban the practice . On a few occasions now , I've observed middle eastern couples where the wife dressed in a Burqa walks behind the husband as he leads the way . Only today , a man was walking with his wife trailing behind about three metres . she was dressed in a pink burqa which I guess isn't as bad as all black but the husband turned to her and said something like hurry up or words along those lines . Ardstone homes ltd have applied to An Bord Pleanala for a strategic housing development consisting of 241 apartments in 8 blocks ranging in height from 3-6 storeys on a 2.98 hectare site at white pines east , north of s tocking avenue, woodstown, Dublin 16 . The development will include 93 one bedroom units and 148 two bedroom units with 204 on street car parking spaces . The site was the subject of two previous applications by the developer in June and November of last year . The actions of a Limerick Councillor Elisa O'Donovan who shouted at Catholics to "pray in your own homes" before calling the Gardai on them on Palm Sunday has been described as "bigotry" and "sectarian" .
